SIMÓN OF CIRENE

TAKING TO THE CROSS DE CHRIST

 © Carlos Padilla, June 2008

The Gentleman always has reserved to certain people so that they underwent special blessings and part of Biblical history, as it is the case of Simón de Cirene, because the logical thing had been that one of the disciples of Christ had been the one that took the Cross of Christ to help him until the Gólgota, the hill with form of skull, well-known also like Calvary. Other people selected outside the group near the Gentleman, Lucas 4:25 to the 27, were the widow of Sarepta de Sidón, which she visited Elías, or Naamán the Syrian, leper cleaned by Eliseo. His hearts yes were near God, as he would be it the one of Simón de Cirene, whose experience next to Jesus would change its life for always, although was not still one of his disciples.

Simón de Cirene is a figure of all we, with whom Jesus shares His work, of those who Jesus takes control our companion of sufferings and victories in the life, the death and the resurrection, we will never separate more of Him, (to where I will flee from your presence. Psalm 139:7) by the eternity. At the moment in which we took Its yoke, we took the spiritual load of the greater mission in the one than the man, the participation in the establishment of the Kingdom of God, Universal and Eternal can participate, and this experience transforms our heart, is the unit with Jesus, is to include/understand its humiliation and ours, for glory and glorification, it is the victory of the King of kings in the greater battle never overcome, is to share the fight by love of us, the brothers, Him, the Father in the Spirit. We take the cross of Christ, our own cross, and the yoke of the Lamb, is no major privilege. The victory is by Its merit. We are friendly of the King of the Universe, are friendly personal of the Son of God, of the heir of God and coheirs with Christ. To Him it is the glory and the empire by the centuries of the centuries. Amen.

This history narrated in three of gospels, Mateo 27:32, Marks 15:21 and Lucas 23:26, takes that us to another one of so many situations in which we shared the spiritual privacy with Jesus, but is here, under the Cross and towards the Gólgota, it is where through Simón de Cirene we will share one of the majors privileges of a Christian.

… When they left, they found a man of Cirene that was called Simón; to this one they forced to that it took the cross. 33Y when they arrived at a called place Gólgota, that means: Place of Calavera… Mateo 27:32.

… And they forced to that it happened, Simón de Cirene, father of Alexander and Rufo, that came from the field, to that took the cross to him. 22Y took to a called place Gólgota, that translated is: Place of Calavera. Marks 15:21.

… And taking to him, they took to certain Simón de Cirene, that it came from the field, and they put the cross above to him it took so that it after Jesus. 27Y followed great multitude to him of the town, and women who cried and made lamentation by him. 28Pero Jesus, returned towards them, said them: Daughters of Jerusalem, you do not cry by me, but you cry by you yourself and your children. Lucas 23:26.

THE WAY TO THE GÓLGOTA

Simón de Cirene came from the field, arrived before the habitual thing because the celebration in Jerusalem by the Passover of the Jews was prepared, and it belonged to the synagog of the cireneos. When arriving at the city was a multitude and Roman soldiers took to three men to be crucified. The mind of Simón would be disturbed, like the one of anyone of us by that one, although outside habitual, and more by the proximity of Passover for a moment, in the evening, it would leave his thoughts when happening close, so close that it would ask itself: why that man is bleeding so much and with a crown of thorns, never he had seen that before, why will have done him that to this man, and the other two no? , who will be? , one is not clear to him. Woman, who is that man? the Mesías is Jesus. Jesus falls with the cross in front of Simón; he cannot more because very he is already debilitated by the escarnecimiento. Poor man! Suddenly a hand strikes the shoulder of Simón; Eh you! , ayúdale to take the cross until the Gólgota, we go, express. God mine what I have done, why, I do not know him, is not my friend, I have only heard speak of Him. Taking to Simón the cross, full of the Blood of Christ, who would impregnate itself in his skin, its hair, its clothes, in his hands, got up Jesus and putting itself to its side, like in a yoke, he watched to him. The cautious friend and of deep love of the eyes of Jesus would nail in the heart of Simón, a glance that never would forget, a glance that would erase all judgment, that to him his better friend would do, a glance that would emanate faith. … While we went together, they escupían to him, they stoned to him, injuriaban to him, while He sacrificed himself by them, and by my, I do not understand anything, but I here am, I lower this heavy cross, where this man, say that the Son of God, now is my friend, my better friend, was going to die. We do not know what they would say themselves during the ascent, but certainly Jesus would thank for the Father to alleviate the load to him and to send to him to Simón, the chosen one for it. The oration of Jesus by Simón, its companion of load would roar in the sky. … Abba, Father, dale forces to Simón, so that I can fulfill your work, and dale faith so that it believes in the work of your Son, guárdale for my kingdom.

What would say we to him to Jesus if there were been in the skin of Simón? Now we know the history of Jesus and how he has changed our lives, but then, without knowing to envelope He cannot know our reaction. The certain thing is that the experience to go with Him had been transforming for us, its eyes, its words, people around, crying out and others despising to him; its presence. Today yes we can say many things to him to the Gentleman: thanks to save to me, to even love to me in my sins, to watch to me and to call to me, to do your work in me every day, to teach to me how you are, like changing and growing in the Spirit to be there for you and my friendly in Christ. Thanks for so many things, to take that cross in my place and to die in my place, by the resurrection and the force to live until you come, to change my heart. Auméntanos the faith and guárdanos under your shade until that one day.

Simón arrived until the end of the passage, and left the cross in the ground, they separated to him and they crucified to Jesus, and the other two men. From that moment the search of answers, the oration of Simón to God would begin, the questions which they knew him. Simón would be transformed, never would be the same more, its family would be transformed, its friendly, when counting that one experience. One would not feel worthy to have shared the Cross of the Gentleman, the Mesías of Israel and the world, but it would be thankful to the Father by that one privilege. His Rufo son would be called to the ministry, mentioned by Pablo in Romans 16:13. Simón would look for Jesus once shortage that would be to revive and that would appear to the apostles, or perhaps or the same Gentleman would have pronounced itself in dreams or visions to that one man, who was of course not chosen at random, but before being born had been chosen to take the cross of Jesus and with Jesus in whom it would save the humanity, those that creates in Him. He would be a brother received brotherly between the Church. The approximated history more of Simón de Cirene could well be this.

The wife of Simón de Cirene, surely either turned, or prayed by Him, which we can deduce by two data that the Bible mentions: first she is that their children, Alexander and Rufo are known by the community, to the being mentioned in the Gospel, and because Pablo had found in her a mother: Romans 16:13. Their orations could not be responded of better form than putting to their husband under the Cross of their Gentleman.

The proximity of an emotional, real Jesus in circumstance, of such caliber, would make that one man never in his life forgot his companion load, a load that a priori would seem to him other people's, but that, which imagínese when Jesus revived to the third day, would think Simón. He himself had been taking the cross by the Painful one, until the Calvary, and there, he saw him be crucified. And now that one prophet was alive, del that said that he was the Son of God. That we in that one circumstance, if had done we had not believed in Him during the time in which the Gentleman was dead? We would have investigated until finding him, we would have looked for the disciples, or their family or it knew whatever them to find out of Him.

A experience that would cause that Simón included/understood the words of Jesus to the Apostles when taught to take our own cross to us, how same Jesus helps to take ours us, the acquittal, most of does not take the weight to us of the load, as we must take the greater load of brothers than they cannot, throw of its lives, instead of to judge them and often condemn them, when ours hermano/a is wounded a ewe or perniquebrada, there we will be, not watching if they are better or worse friendly, they fall if us more good or worse, if they are more or less holy, is enough to us with knowledge that they love the Gentleman and which they love a the brothers, because all we often encountered and we failed. We will take the load of a Christian, with the hope that gives God to raise fallen lives, although is difficult, because Christ us will not leave single in this work, there is He, to our side, in the life, this great tribulation that is called Earth life, waiting room of the eternal life.

FOUR VISIONS DE LA CRUZ

First it is before the imposition to take the cross of Jesus until the Calvary, what reaction we have when we must take the gospel to the others, and when they request aid to us. Second it is the attitude of the malefactor who insult to Christ, by pride, incredulity. Third it is the attitude of the other malefactor reprimanding to him and asking who Jesus remembered him when Jesus in His kingdom came, and received by answer that today would be with Him in the paradise. These two men are the two attitudes of the man before the Day of the Judgment, one, the one to despise the salvation by the single faith, and the other the one to be clear sinful, to regret and to cry out mercy. Fourth Cross is before of Christ that it gives his life by us and our relation personal with our Salvador from moment to understand that He has died in our place, that we would have to be and not He, those that we were in that one Cross. All of them begin in a street, in Jerusalem, does almost two thousand years, when the Son of God was loaded with a cross that would take next to a man, represents who us all, Simón de Cirene.

The load de la Cruz, is the yoke of Christ, who invites to take to us with Him, of who he describes to the same Gentleman his lightness to us and facility to take due to the power greater than gives God us: the love of Christ. The yoke is a wood piece, that as all we know serves so that two oxen of load throw together. Then, that yoke is the same cross put in horizontal where the two parts that would serve to nail the hands of the Mesías, were put on shoulders of each one of the two men, Jesus and Simón, when this one was forced to help Jesus to take Its cross. That one obligation would become for Him a privilege.

It is not necessary to say that our cross does not save to us, but the one of the Lamb of God, Yahshua the Mesías, and which therefore the salvation do not contribute our aid to it, our testimony nor our spiritual effort, but the life of the given and revived Son of God. But Jesus has left for His wife, the Church a part of the load, as the Scripture says: … Now I enjoy to me in which I suffer by you, and fulfill in my meat which lacks of the afflictions of Christ by its body, that is the church. Colosenses 1:24.

To take the cross of Christ means to take Its testimony, to preach the Gospel, to make sacrifice of praise, fruit of lips that confess their name, Hebrew 13:15, to be the Earth salt and the light of the world, to proclaim Their work between the men, to speak in the places and circumstances in which nobody speech of God but of the vanities, the profit and the meat, to defend by love of them the salvation of the soul and the repentance, to publish a type of conversation that it does not like to the human mind, because the sentence, because it announces its lapsing and nonsense to him. In addition the cross to Christ implies to take the suffering that It takes seeing the souls lose itself because they detest Him to Him and, to see the humanity destroy itself, to the people being damaged mutually, to dominate, by envies, by being able, to prevail, to hate; quite the opposite to the love of God, all that has been nailed in the Cross in which they accept to Him like Salvador, changing its hearts. The Cross of Christ implies that we will be detested, persecuted, some killed, and all this tribulation is for the glory of the Gentleman, something different from the gospel of the well-being, the economic prosperity and the blessings that today the multitudes in some churches look for spectacle. The Christians we are called to take our own cross by love of Christ, and by love of the brothers, we see in Gálatas 6:2 it and 3:16 and 17 1Juan, this is our Priesthood of Melquisedec, priest for always, our Mr. Jesus Christ.

BIBLICAL TEXTS

… My friendly and my companions stay far from my plague, and my near they have moved away. Psalm 38:11. This is the circumstance to see the near friendly far and when it took the Cross.

… Your load Throws on Yahweh, and it will sustain to you; He will not leave for always fallen just. Psalm 55:22. Simón did not leave fallen Just and it took the Cross to him.

… Good it is to the man to take the yoke to him from his youth. 28Que only feels like and street, because it is God that prevailed it. Lamentations 3:27. This it is the yoke that the Father imposed his Son to him so that he saved his wife, the Church.

… It will occur in that one time that its load will be cleared of your shoulder, and his yoke of your cervix, and the yoke will rot because of the unction. Isaiah 10:27. The yoke will rot by the unction of the Spirit because no longer it is by load but by love of God.

… Thus there is this Yahweh: Guardaos by your life to take load in the day of rest, and to put it by the doors of Jerusalem. Jeremías 17:21. This also was fulfilled when dying Jesus, just before the day of rest of great solemnity, the called day the Great Saturday of Passover.

… and to whatever it forces to take load to you by one mile, it sees with him two. Mateo 5:41. Simón was with the Gentleman until the end, taking the cross during that one first mile, and in his life it would take the cross that is the second mile.

… You come all that you are worked and you loaded, and I I will make you rest. 29Llevad my yoke exceeds you, and you learn of me, who I am tame and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls; 30porque my yoke is easy, and light my load. Mateo 11:28. This is the education of Jesus, who the yoke that It takes is for the salvation of the men: It conquered east miracle, and proclaimed we it by the centuries.

… What man of you, having one hundred ewes, if he loses one of them, does not leave ninety and the nine in the desert, and goes after whom he lost himself, until finding it? 5Y it finds when it puts, it on its shoulders joyful; 6y when arriving at house, reunites to its friendly and neighbors, saying to them: Gozaos with me, because I have found my ewe that had itself lost. 7Os I say that thus there will be more joy in the sky by a sinful one that regrets, that by ninety and nine right ones which they do not need repentance. Lucas 15:4. The Cross of Christ is the one that gives life to the lost ewe that is the Church, that we are. By us it left his throne and it lowered to the Earth, it died and it revived.

… You bear loads of the other, and obey therefore the law of Christ. Gálatas 6:2. The Law of Christ.

… Loved, you are not surprised of the test fire that you has happened, as if some strange thing occurred to you, 13sino gozaos inasmuch as you are participant of the sufferings of Christ, so that also in the revelation of its glory you enjoy yourselves with great joy. 14Si you are condemned by the name of Christ, you are fortunate, because the glorious Spirit of God rests envelope you. Certainly, from them, it is blasphemed, but by you he is glorified. 15Así that, no of you suffers like homicida, or thief, or malefactor, or by entremeter itself in the other people's thing; 16pero if some suffers like Christian, is not shamed, but it glorifies God for that reason. 17Porque is time of which the judgment begins by the house of God; and if first it begins by us, which will be the aim of which they do not obey to the gospel of God? 18Y: If just with difficulty one is saved, Where he will appear impío and the sinful one? 19De way that those that suffer according to the will of God, they entrust its souls to the Creative faithful, and make the good. 1Pedro 4:12.

CONCLUSION

Simón de Cirene, symbolizes our life next to Christ for Its glory, not because it forces the religion, but by love to Him and which It loved and by that died. It is an approach to the presence of the Gentleman in the Way to the eternal triumph of the Gentleman. It is to walk the way de la Cruz, the one that must have been our ascent to be condemned, and that in our place offered He; symbol that was seen already in Abraham when it had to offer to Isaac, that was replaced by a lamb, Lamb of God that clears the sin of the world. Cireneos, a small community. Simón, a Jewish privileged person who the Gentleman called so that he received the salvation of the true Mesías, so that today we have testimony and feed our spirit with a experience on that one magnitude, that approaches to us Jesus, to face to us at the time of our death, to discover that the same Gentleman will be with us also in that one day in which we are called to go with Him, and with Him in its coming, the ecstasy flying to the sky in praises, to the eternal kingdom, the dwellings who is preparing to us within the heart of the Father, we confront so that it with confidence.

Now then gocémonos in which we suffer by ours loved Mr. Jesus Christ, and in which we suffer by others, and we fulfill in our meat which lacks of the afflictions of Christ by its body, that is the Church. According to Colosenses 1:24. The glory and honor are to our Mr. Jesus Christ. The Gentleman comes. Amen.
