JONÃS IN NÃNIVE
“THE ONE THAT RECEIVES, RECEIVES TO MEâ€
The book of Jonás is short but he is full of spiritual allegory on the work that sometimes the children of God we do not want to do, because we do not like to announce the curse of God under which are the people, and of which God wants that they leave by the repentance, when announcing to them the message of salvation and the freedom, and of the curse that to them the message of God will happen when rejecting. But there are some like Jonás, do not have mercy which they regret.
JONÃS: CHAPTER 1
1Vino word of Yahweh to Jonás, son of Amitai, saying:Â
2Levántate and sees NÃnive, that one great city, and announces against her; because its badness in front of me has raised.Â
3Y Jonás rose to flee from the presence of Yahweh to Tarsis, and descended to Jope, and found a ship that started off for Tarsis; and paying its passage, it entered her to go away with them to Tarsis, far from the presence of Yahweh.
Jonás march to Tarsis that the place more opposed to NÃnive, representing this attitude the voluntary disobedience God not wanting to announce the prophecy to a town “or a single soul†where God knows that it has people hers. The ninivitas are the people who surround every day to us in our lives and to which we did not announce the Gospel, and that is in sin, that is separated from God. How peculiar! that it prefers east man of God to embark in a ship, that is in its project of social life, and does not want to speak to its neighbors, to whom we have to them to announce the wrath of God, with the hope of which if they change its lives and they know God will come Its blessing to them and the new birth from the Spirit, to obtain the Salvation, who is to know Jesus Christ and to live with Him, every day.
4Pero made Yahweh raise a great wind in the sea, and was in the sea a so great storm that it thought that the ship was divided.Â
15… And the sailors took to Jonás, they threw and it to the sea; and the sea was calmed down of its rage.Â
16Y feared those men to Yahweh with great fear, and offered sacrifice to Yahweh, and made votes.
17… But Yahweh had preparation a great fish that swallowed to Jonás; and it was Jonás in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
Once the man of God has decided to follow his life and he does not obey what we can call its work like son of God, the Gentleman raises a great wind in the sea; it raises a power of the world against Jonás… and was a great storm… that is the discipline of the Gentleman in difficulties in the work and about the family and with the brothers… and it thought that the ship was divided…; the world seems that it sinks for which they are fighting against God, when its plan crumbles to them, that is to say, its ship, on which sail. … And their companions of the world threw to the sea…, who detest now it in the things of the world, for example, like fellow workers, and they reject to him and he is seen in the left society, by those of the world and by those of the Gentleman. Then God had a fish preparation so that it swallowed to Jonás during three days and three nights; spiritual situation of death in which is a soul of God when it knows him but has to him unheeded. But in His mercy, the Gentleman, prepares a circumstance of a time “three days and three nights to him†that can be any amount of time which we pruned to take in seeing our error, that it represents the night, and the light and our repentance like the day.
Â
CHAPTER 2
1Entonces prayed Jonás to Yahweh its God from the belly of the fish,Â
2y said: I invoked in my anguish to Yahweh, and he heard to me; From the sine of the Seol I cried out, and my voice you heard…Â
10… the salvation is of Yahweh. And Yahweh commanded to the fish, and vomited to Jonás in earth.
Now it is when the soul del that is of God sees in the solitude and calls to his Gentleman because it sees that it has been mistaken and it knows that God will pardon to him, and that of Him is the salvation. Now God puts to him again in the way so that he is his disciple, welcomes to him with its mercy and it gives another opportunity him.
Â
CHAPTER 3
1Vino word of Yahweh to Jonás, saying for the second time:Â
2Levántate and you go to NÃnive, that one great city, and proclaims in her the message that I will say to you.Â
3Y rose Jonás, and went to NÃnive according to the word of Yahweh. And it was NÃnive big city in end, of three days of way.Â
4Y began Jonás to enter by the city way of a day, and preached saying: From now until forty NÃnive days it will be destroyed.
Now Jonás, any man of God, is at readiness to receive revelation of God to be used by Him in the spiritual work. The man rises anointed by God and plenty of faith after praying to God and begins to announce the Gospel de God… According to the message that I will give you… When the man of God already is preaching, he is the Spirit Santo the one who gives the word of God then to the man, right the necessary things that the listeners need to hear, besides the message of God. The city was great like of three days: This it is the time that the soul del that is preached needs to become, and is possible that afternoons but of a day in obtaining that somebody is given to God and receives Christ. So Jonás begins to enter the city: It begins to preach with patience and in the hope that God puts faith in the soul of the listener. NÃnive will be destroyed: Arrepiéntete because you are unprotected of the cover of God.
5Y the men of NÃnive believed God, and proclaimed fasting, and they got dressed hair shirt less than from the major to.Â
6Y arrived the news until the king from NÃnive, and it rose of his chair, it undressed of his dress, and it covered itself with hair shirt and it sat down on ash.Â
7E made proclaim and announce in NÃnive, by mandate of the king and of its great ones, saying: Men and animal, oxen and ewes, do not like thing some; food does not occur them, nor drink water;Â
8sino men and animal cover themselves with hair shirt and cry out strongly to God; and each of its evil conviértase way, of the plundering that there is in his hands.Â
9Who knows if it will become and God regrets, and I will separate from the ardor of its wrath, and we will not perish?Â
10Y saw God which did, that became of their evil way; and one regreted the evil that had said that it would do to them, and it did not do it.
What precious story of the mercy of our God and Gentleman. Those of NÃnive regret and create God; it does not say that they believed to Jonás but God, because their words are those of God; thus we when we announced to the gospel, say Jesus who if they create to our word, create hers. They proclaim fasting and they feel unworthy of God, “hair shirt†the load of the sin confessed before God. The king of NÃnive, ours I, recognizes the message of God and he goes away of his throne so that Christ in his soul reigns. The hope which God would regret all we have it inside because we know very instinctively that he is great in mercy. And God pardons.
Â
CHAPTER 4
1Pero Jonás was grieved in end, and it got angry.Â
2Y prayed to Yahweh and said: Now, oh Yahweh, he is not this what I still said being in my earth? For that reason I hurried to flee to Tarsis; because I knew that your you are merciful and pious God, I take in enojarte and of great mercy, and that you regret the evil.Â
3Ahora then, oh Yahweh, I request to you that you clear the life to me; because better the life is to me the death that.
This reaction is the one of a Jonás anyone, of a man of God anyone, that is considered or separated from bad works of the world just, in which “the ninivitasâ€, its neighbors in the city, if they participate. This not yet it has arrived around Christ as far as the mercy, because this one Jonás, that we can be anyone of us before knowing Christ, also éramos slaves of the sin. The man of God is really obstinate before the rubbish of “the worldly†man.
4Y Yahweh said to him: Beams your good in enojarte as much?Â
5Y left Yahweh the city, and enramada was made there, and it sat down underneath her in the shade, until seeing that it would occur in the city.Â
6Y prepared Yahweh God a calabacera, which grew on Jonás so that it made shade on his head, and it freed to him of his malaise; and Jonás was glad greatly for the calabacera.Â
7Pero when coming the dawn from the following day, God prepared a worm, which hurt the calabacera, and it was dried.Â
8Y occurred that when leaving the sun, prepared God a strong wind solano, and the sun hurt to Jonás in the head, and desmayaba, and wished the death. saying: Better it would be for me the death that the life.Â
9Entonces said God to Jonás: As much you get angry by the calabacera? And it responded: I anger to me much, until the death.Â
10Y said Yahweh: You had your pity of the calabacera, in which you did not work, nor let you it grow; that in space of one night it was born, and in space of another night appraised.Â
11And will not have I mercy of NÃnive, that one great city where is more than one hundred twenty thousand people who do not know to discern between their right hand and its left hand, and many animal?
The Gentleman calls to magnificent Jonás by his much anger, and del goes away far outside the city, that has believed in God, becoming to its life “the enramada one†and observing if God still is going to destroy those sinful people who were “NÃniveâ€. And a calabacera prepared God; allegory of works of Jonás like right man, in whom God has put to him in its life, and on that Jonás is justified. But God says that it was built in one night and in another one died by “the wormâ€, the belief that because is of God or others cannot be blessed by God, if they are not member of his church or religion, because before they were sinful, and its cover is dried, like the fig tree that cursed Christ because there were fruits of the no Spirit, but magnificent in Jerusalem, when It arrived.
Therefore man of God not must to cheer in works, because the one is God puts that us in them, and we must have mercy which they regret by very badly which they were in the life. although they do not follow our steps, because the growth gives God it. What if there is to do it is to pray by them.
We praise to God that teaches us in this book as It has mercy of man, although as she says here in Jonás 4-11, people not know to discern between his hand right and left, not distinguish good and evil according to God, because she knows God that we do not bring the Spirit Santo in us, but has patience until we cry out to Him. Amen?
